‘Tis the season!
I was watching the news this morning and my local news station had a segment on a “Secret Santa” that was spotted in neighborhood dollar stores and thrift stores, etc. His goal is to give away $1 million each holiday season; apparently he does this every year. Of course they wouldn’t show his face while he handed various customers $100s of dollars but I was able to see the expressions of the recipients. They were really thankful and overwhelmed that someone just gave away money without looking back. That got me to thinking… yes its good to give to family, friends, co-workers etc, but what about giving to those that are really in need?
If you don’t want to do like the “Secret Santa” and just walk in various stores giving away money, there are various charities and local organizations that are in need of your help to make a family or child’s holiday season joyous. From donating toys to serving turkey at a local pantry, you can be a “Secret Santa” and put a smile on someone’s face.
Don’t forget that “Tis the Season to be Jolly”, so make sure you do your part to help at least 1 person in need this holiday season be as jolly as can be.
