As we celebrated Father’s Day yesterday, I asked many people what is the difference between a father and a dad. One person’s response was “A father genetically creates a child; a dad is someone who cares of the well-being of the child and shows that child affection”. Another response was “Any man can be a father but it takes someone special to be a dad”. Therefore what is more important in the life a child, a father or a dad?
Equally are both important to a child. A father is there to genetically create the child into existence. A dad on the other hand is someone who shows the child affection, discipline and a leader of a great example. Unfortunately, so many fathers do not assume the role of a dad, often times this role is assumed by a pastor, cousin, uncle, step-dad, older brother, and YES a mother.
HAPPY FATHER’S/ DAD’S DAY!!!!!! I HOPE IT WAS GREAT!!!!
