…The more you receive.
Oftentimes we think once we give, we are quickly diminished and we have less. But according to God’s principles, when we give He cause others to give back to us, ALWAYS.
From a young age I was taught the importance of tithing, giving the first 10% of my income. And over the past year I really understood the blessing that comes with giving. I thank God for instilling that in me because even when I didn’t have much, I developed a habit of giving. Because of that I have NEVER, I repeat, NEVER lacked in anything (food, clothing, housing, bills paid, etc.). God has always made provision for me because I choose to make provision for others and His kingdom.
In Luke 6:38 it says Give and it shall be given in good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over shall men give unto your bosom. If you sow sparingly, you will reap also sparingly and if you sow bountifully you will reap also bountifully according to 2 Corinthians 9:6. And once we give, God will make ALL grace abound towards us and we’ll have enough to do any and every good work we need to do (2 Corinthians 9:8).
In this season, develop the heart of a giver. Even when things are tight the BEST thing to do is NOT hold on to it, but to GIVE it because God will be able to multiply your seed. When you see a person in need and you have the resources, give to them knowing you first pleased God but also in confidence that God will return it to you more than you gave it because the more you give, the more you receive!
Think about it, it is more of a blessing to give than to receive 🙂
