How far can you go without direction? How far can you go without knowing what’s needed for the next step? Amongst all of the amazing wisdom in the Word of God, two of the most profound verses and revelations in the Bible are that people perish for a lack of knowledge and a lack of vision (Hosea 4:6; Proverbs 29:18).
When you know better, chances are you will do better. Research will tell you the countless benefits of education (knowledge). Having an education and obtaining knowledge increases your quality of life financially, mentally and emotionally, decreases unwanted pregnancy, decreases recidivism (the chance of an inmate going back to jail) and increases opportunities to go farther in life. Hence, without education (knowledge) people perish or decrease their chances for a better life.
Without a vision for one’s life, the effects are just the same as a person without education. If you’re in a dark tunnel or a maze it’s important for you to SEE yourself out. Have you been living life aimlessly? Have you been living without a goal for your future or even a goal for your TODAY? Could it be that you have no vision for your life? OR could it be that you have not taken that vision seriously?
Habakkuk 2:2-3 says “Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
Basically write the vision that you have for your life. God has placed some desires in your heart and He desires to see them fulfilled so you can help complete the plan He has for this world. But if you do not take the vision seriously, you just may… perish. Or live a life with 0% purpose.
Today I encourage you to write the vision for your career, car, spouse and/or whatever else you are believing God for. Be detailed. As the scripture says, it may tarry (it may take a minute for it to happen) but surely it WILL come to pass and God will amaze you at how He caused it to come to pass as it aligns to His will. For the past couple semesters I have written and spoken often that I am a straight-A student. And even when it came to the end of the semester and I was on the brink of getting a B, it never failed that I got an A because I wrote it down, confessed it, believed it and acted on it. You can’t write that you’re a Straight-A student and NEVER study! (Faith AND works people!)
Write it out today and don’t be afraid to write your biggest dreams. It’s possible. ALL things are possible with God 🙂 What’s too hard for Him?!
Love you all dearly,
